Student: "Hey John Reid... You know why they call it the novel Coronavirus?"
Me: "No... why?"
Student :"Well... it's a long story ...."
I laughed louder and longer than I should, and maybe it's not that funny to some, but for me, it was the brightest spot in my otherwise gloomy day. Some days are tougher on us than others and that moment reminded me to share those smiles, to help folks who might be going through a bad spot. Never underestimate the power of laughter. I definitely took laughter for granted before the pandemic and I am finding it harder and harder to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have told that joke a few times and the smiles are contagious. So I decided to give you a few jokes that have made me chuckle over the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy:
:) Back in my day, you would cough to cover up a fart. Now, with COVID-19, you fart to cover up a cough.
:) Finland just closed its borders. You know what that means. No one will be crossing the finish line.
:) I ran out of toilet paper and had to start using old newspapers. Times are rough.
:) What types of jokes are allowed during quarantine? Inside jokes!
These may not be your style of humor, but I sincerely hope you will share a laugh (or even a groan) with someone else who might need a chuckle.
Stay healthy and safe. And remember, let's
Spread magic... not germs!!
~John
